Try stareing in to a wall with your character and see what your fps is. The fewer polygons the graphic card has to draw the higher the fps. So if u minimize the complexity of the image u should see your maximum fps. Also I know there is a settings "vertical sync" in WOW for LCD-screens preventing so...

On thing to have in mind for beginners might be the class u choose. In my opinion, if u having trouble with all different type of spells etc, try playing a Warrior, they are very easy to learn. And u usually dont have to depend on keeping the mob away from u as u need when playing some one with less...

My problem is that a char in our guild is ranked Warlord according to official page, but when extracting guildroster he has value 16 = General.
He has been online when I've taken Census data btw.
