Euro server date format problem

Ok, I admit it, I made a mistake, I submitted data on EU-Warsong, and had my date set in DD-MM-YYYY format.

This is the common and usual way of expressing a date in Europe, and looking at a submission from the Alliance on the same server it seems I'm not the only one. This is likely to be a common issue.

I hope you can fix this, Either by accepting data in DD-MM-YYYY format, or by posting a warning about the use of the US MM-DD-YYYY format, maybe even having some kind of date validation code?

Hopefully it won't be too much of a pain for you to repair any damage done to the DB.

Sorry about that.

Actually, Blizzard plans to supply a GetDate function in the future so that will be obsolete when this happens.

There is some date validation on the server when data is uploaded so you shouldn't see dates in the future anymore, it just defaults to current time if the date is out of range.

Just remember that due to TZ, that a date could be anywhere up to almost 24 hours ahead of the server date.

For example Australian players are currently at GMT+11
