Yay...for nothing.

The only good thing about this patch is that I can now buy a few of the pvp epic items at a lower cost. That's about it.

Yeah is it me or does this adds yet another dungeon only uberraid guilds will be able to enter? Can't wait till Blizzard adds more smaller dungeons for casual players, and a decent LFG system (like the old channel) where you don't need to be busy for 2 hours before you have a fullgroup that dies in a snap for nothing.

Like one of the dev's said: The majority of the players never even seen MC from the inside. (Don't have the source a friend of mine is on this one. can ask for it tho :).)

hey, there's a good thing about this patch... they're nerfing fear ;)

And yeah, we almost had Magtheridon down before the patch, but started getting raid attendance issues... I assume it'll pick back up now that the bosses have all been retuned due to the consumable nerf (not that I'm complaining, flasking for every Mag attempt and every hydross attempt sucked, that's for sure.)

The patch took 30 minutes for me to install this morning (it was already downloaded). So, if you haven't installed it yet, you may want to do it now instead of waiting for the servers to come up.

Nerfing fear? a little. I'm happy about them nerfing just about every immobilizing effect from NPCs in dungeons. That kind of overshadows the fear nerf that players are receiving.

I think it's sad that the shamans are getting nerfed. I agree that enhancement shaman was probably doing more damage than intended for a hybrid class, but I felt it was justified by their lack of CC. I played quite a bit of pvp with my shaman this last weekend, and really enjoyed it. Now I have to find a different OP'd class to play

The enUS version is about 256MB, but it adds up to be 269MB with the 2 incremental updates before...
The enGB version is about 345MB

http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors has alot of links to sites hosting it for download.

Intersting observances.

Screenshots captured using the Print Screen key are now saved in JPG format.
About time.

Inspect distance has been increased to 30 yards (from 10 yards).
E-Peen /flex

Death Wish and Enrage effects no longer stack.
Speccing into 2 talents, will no longer give you those 2 talents.

Fishing has been removed from Arathi Basin and Alterac Valley.

Fixed a grammatical error in the quest, The Ring of Mmmrrrggglll.
so *that's* how you spell it

New title of Justicaris now available for Alliance players exalted with Alterac Valley, Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch factions.
New title of Conqueror is now available for Horde players exalted with Alterac Valley, Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch factions.

Players who feign death no longer appear dead to party and raid members and friendly spells will not be interrupted.
Hunters live!!!

You can socket items while in flight.
Really necessary?

Searches in the auction house for French, German, and Spanish now do character swapping for some accented characters to yield better results.
I have no clue

I thought these game play changes are noteworthy.

Rogue: Reduced the reagents required to create most poisons.
Sap no longer removes you from stealth when used.

Warriors: Flurry (Fury) now increases attack speed by 5/10/15/20/25%, reduced from 10/15/20/25/30.

Alchemy: The chance of a discovery occurring while making potions has been substantially increased.

Fishing: The fishing timer can no longer run through its duration without a fish biting.

You can now unspecialize in tailoring and alchemy, and then select a new specialization. This is a repeatable choice, but costs gold each time.

Players will experience diminished gains in reputation from killing outdoor mobs while in raids larger than five players.

Using abilities and casting spells that cannot be used while mounted will now auto-dismount players as needed. This can be disabled by turning off the auto-dismount option in the UI options.

Fixed an issue where quest items were remaining in a player's inventory even after abandoning the quest. (Personally love this fix)

Players will no longer be able to use Charge types of abilities to port the user up to flying-mounted characters.

I left mine system to download/install it while I went to work today. Although I am currently not playing the game I am keeping it up to date the best I can, so when I do decide to re-subscribe it will be so much easier to do.

This should be a user configurable option imho. There are times when you want a lossless screen capture.

They buffed and nerfed fishing in the same patch. Last time I checked the PTRs there is now a food that matches the Spicy Crawdad that is only 45S for 5 food! I used to sell those spicy crawdad's for 5G a piece. That is a change I just don't understand at all.

It took fishing 520+(requires you to win the fishing contest and catch at least 2 of the rare fish) to fish for the furious crawdad in only 3 lakes in the entire game and now they are nerfed. There is no reason to even fish for them now. :|

If wowhead is right, then I am very happy right now. It looks like they nerfed the vendor bought food. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32721 I can't believe I am gonna say this, but Blizzard did something right here.
