Hi,
I am looking for a guy who has left my guild, changed his name and (I think) transferred to another server.
I know his race, his level, his class and his talent tree preference. If he transferred really, he should have a WR profile with no history.
Do you think I can find this guy with WR.com? Do you know any (meta) search ways for my search?

You might only be able to gather that info from capturing it in combat info. I'll have to peek into that.
Have you seen a post on the forums or something discussing the GUIDs?

I dont think this shouldnt be hard...
When I am looking at
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/charhistory.php I miss only an option like "[x] character has leveled on this server".
People transfer their chars most of the time with lvl 70. So if you see a character who hasnt this leveling history in his profile he could marked as "probably transferred"...
It would really help to track the fraudulent players...
Or is this too much for the database?
You must now type the character name exactly as it appears in game in order to find your character.

hey this sounds interesting

I know a scammer who suddenly disappeared from the server.
He still owes me gold for the enchantments I gave him. He claimed to be the friend of someone from my guild. I trusted him

and he asked to postpone payment because he wanted to buy a mount or something like that. Stupid as I was I believed his promise to pay me later. Needless to say how I felt when my guildie told me that guy wasn't his friend but someone who scammed him.
Are there any plans to track someone after a name change or server change?

I just found this site and it might help with hunts for transferred characters:

You've been able to do that on wowjutsu for about a month now.
And more than 3 people in a single batch at that.
Yeah, unfortuanately wowjutsu is ridiculously buggy atm... updating some chars causes other chars to fall off the list and many players just don't get updated despite being current in the armory and force queued numerous times. It's a great idea though, I hope the dev works out the kinks.
