As I can't play WoW at work and spend 80+ hrs/week here, is there a way to check my auctions using a third-party program?

I would strongly suggest you don't do that. In order to check what your auctions are using a program, the program would need access to your account and that's begging for a keylogger if you ask me. I suppose the other way is for someone to make a website which has a full database of what's in the auction house in each realm but that doesn't seem to likely.

Short answer: Nope, don't think so.

oh yeah, that's true. forget that idea. it doesn't seem too unlikely that someone could tap the database so that you could sort things by realm, though. you can find info about all the characters online, so that doesn't seem like too much of a stretch. of course, i can't do it :) well, thanks for your comment, anyway.

http://www.wowecon.com/ does have quite a large database of items and their prices on each realm. Not sure how up to date it is tho, I'm not a big fan of the auction house.

I make 50 to 60 percent of my gold with the AH.

But stopped using auctioneer for the site DM just noted. The addon sends this data to that website and I have to wonder what other info it sends. So now I use auction master since it is not transmitting my data to a site that is ran, most likely, by IGE.

This statement puzzles me. AFIK, wowecon and auctioneer are not connected. I have never seen any request from Auctioneer (Classic or Advanced) to upload information to wowecon (or anywhere else), and no LUA add-on has the ability to upload data out of the game. The only connection I know of is Auctioneer Advanced has an option to get pricing info from the wowecon add-on, if you're also running it.

I just looked at the wowecon site, and it looks like, in addition to their mod, they have an executable "launcher" that automatically downloads updates, and quite possibly uploads data as you describe. Even if I was running the wowecon add-on, I wouldn't run their executable; as you mentioned, who knows what it might be uploading.

Auctioneer certainly has issues, growing too bloated being a big one, but on this issue, anyway, it is blameless.
