Lots of people complaining that they just got BANNED on start up with the new battle.net changes.
Also RAF links are failing.

Wonder if I will get banned... after all I must be ruining the game..
I am online.. and doing nothing but /who /who

you would think I was an Owl or something.

last two realm switches haven't disconnected me... so they appear to have that fixed

However.. random disconnects from Battle.net are still happening while I am in realm..
doesn't impact game play ( or at least running of CensusPlus)

But I need to shutdown all game and Bnet when I finish a realm/faction.. just in case they are pushing code fixes out again.

That ban message sounds a nasty glitch, looking over the forums it seems that tech support guys are saying it's not real bans but a weird error status, but still, hopefully they have that one fixed before EU patch tomorrow (I love being 1 day behind, the most gamebreaking bugs are nearly always fixed before we get it :P ), also reading some people being told they've maxed out characters on account even after deleting some, that might hit some power censusers till it's fixed!

Oh well I gave up late afternoon PDT time....
the link between Battle.net and the WoW client is making and breaking so fast..
I am connected at the login screen
while the client is setting up and getting the character into the world the link goes down..
in game out of the blue pops up.. You are connected to Battle.net

and maybe or maybe not.. before the census run finishes.. the link goes down.

Lol yep they broke stuff indeed, can't login via Battle.net app, although it does work if I use the oldfashioned way via the actual WoW exe file and typing my infos into the login screen :P Usually they have those glitches fixed before it hits EU!

So around 9pm (PDT) they released a small patch to fix the problem .. oops that didn't work
10pm new build .21345 which is about 1/4th of patch day download
11pm .. hmm .. "we still have issues"..
12am .. emergency emergency.... all realms going down.

(above gathered from the US BlizzardCS Twitter account)

10am today.. start Battle.net app.. and get the above patch..
oh wait.. build .21348
hmm.. all the realms I am looking at are LOW pop when most should be Medium or Higher.
Log in and do the first realm set of census runs..
back to realm list.. select next realm... Disconnected error msg (WOW51900329)

exit back to battle.net restart..
get to next realm.. do both factions.. go to realm list and bang.. same error.

Yup fixed. NOT

I am assuming they did the server restarts as notified for this morning...
did 9 realms
had 5 disconnects that required wow client restarts
saw a number of disconnect/reconnect for Battle.net while in game doing census.

almost all US realms are LOW pop where they should have been Medium or higher.

This weekend should be interesting. for Blizzard support.. in a Chinese way (or not)

Found last night in Blizzard forum a suggestion that DNS caching might be the issue.
I did a flush of computers dns cache and also removed the Battle.net cache data from
c:\program data\Battle.net and Blizzard Entertainment folders
Program Data is a hidden folder by default.. you need to use administrator tools to access folder

This worked for me for the next four hours... I had only one disconnect.. as my time allotment on the wi/fi connect dropped.

see msg 25 & 27 of
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic ... ?page=2#27

But this morning things are back to disconnect with each realm switch...
To say that Blizzard is aware of this is an understatement.. see
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/20742955527

lots of people posting kill Wow.. and relaunch from battle.net for each realm switch as resolving problem. They are clueless.. as that is only a work around.

Same over here, it's fine if I stick to one realm, but every 2-3 switches I get dc'd, plus everything I do on the character select screen runs at a snail's pace. All realms showing Low/Medium pop, but tbh, that might now be showing correct levels, it previously seemed a tad high for the activity levels! My server's dropped to Medium, but about 1.5k online on the last census I saw complete... yeah, that is medium.

Looks like the Battle.net app update yesterday along with the server restarts and finally fixed the problem.
I have not seen any sign of Battle.net connect or disconnect messages in game for the last 3 hours, with many switching of realms.

One side note... I see that when you delete characters from a realm the realm list reflects the changes right away.
You no longer have to restart the client to get a valid list of characters.
On the other hand... the list automatically reverts to sort by Character count and does not stay as you last had the list sorted.

Jump on in, the water is fine..
don't mind those grey fins out in the deeper water, they are just there to make sure you don't get away... err get lost.

Eight hours online with Blizzard and not one glitch... over 50 realm/faction touched for census runs.
