Thought this may be the right place to post this type of information. Not to sure what blizzard would think... they can be stupid sometiimes.

This is mainly to help people choose a server based on location/latencey. You should be able to run a traceroute and get approx latencey. Ping will not work unless you use one of the non standard pings that runs on a tcp port.

There appears to be 3 main locations. One in souther california that indicates it is in LA but this may be 2 physical location since there are 2 ip blocks. This should not matter from a network delay. The second is near washington DC. Hard to say the state but I heard virgina The newest servers appear to be in Dallas,Texas

All these are on ATT's network so where you ISP hands off to ATT is more important than you physical location. I have seen a trace from houston that goes to chiacgo to get to att in dallas.

I'm not really sure if I agree with posting the actual IP's up for the public (even though you can get this info if you know where ot look), but knowing the location of your datacenter is good information.

Mmmm, someone from Blizzard slipped early on about california and virginia being different sites. Texas and Virginia is often mentioned as good places to host since you can get close to major hubs and most people will have decent ping times.

As for leaving this up here I'm not sure, Blizzard is deleting anything on the official boards about this that's actually correct. Not sure if it's their own ideas of secrecy or their deal with AT&T but there is a chance that they may take issue... or they may just keep quiet, depending on the reason for spreading disinformation in the first place.
