Usually you have to go to /accounts/XXXX/savedvariables/ folder
but I have a roomate that has their own account, and I have to go upload twice the information to get all of his wacky realms updated. Can there be a collective .lua to avoid the server having to go through redunant information uploaded from the same comptuer.
Yeah, and this is the same reason I don't really want to write a client app to do any client side processing. Not to mention it is less support work for me.
Rollie the only problem without having collective data is that if you have multiple users on your CPU you have to submit them in different hours. I just got the usual message
File appears to be valid, checking your version number.
Checking your file
Found CensusPlus Database
Found CensusPlus Info Data
Found Version Number => Version: 3.0 <=
Found Locale => Locale: US <= We have detected that you submitted data within the past hour. Your previous file has been overwritten with with this one
Version check complete!
Maybe there can be an override that you have to click to not delete your previous file? Maybe with a 2 min default (if you dont respond in 2 min, your previous version will be auto deleted)
I'll think it over. The primary reason this is in place is due to 2 things. 1, auto updates on file change from UU sometimes send up multiple files in a very short amount of time, and 2, people sometimes don't wait and click the upload button more than once forcing second and sometimes third uploads of the same file.
I need to streamline the update process as much as possible so negating those unnecessary uploads is a huge benefit. I will have to see if I can come up with an alterior method if this is a big deal.
Is the whole idea of an expiration feasable? A small window of opportunity for the end user to save the information. Or perhaps a check box that needs to be selected prior to uploading that indicates that this one should also be processed. the check box only appears if you go into your profile and indicate that you have multiple accounts on your station, and defaults to 1/station
I understand your case...
But... it COULD be misused when there is a new competition for submitting new/updated info.
1 Account at warcraftrealms will be used by x persons (from the same school/class for instance).
So has to be a check on used IP-number as well...

If you have a PvP server you can only have one faction per account, if you had 2 accounts and want to submit both factions then you would have to wait an hour to submit the data. I don't know about you but when im sleepy i go to sleep and dont want to wake up an hour into my fantasy to re-submit

Then what are you talking about. If you have a PvP server then you can only have 1 faction on the server. Unless you want to make a char then delete it then make an opposing faction char then delete it, it's quite worthless.
