Have you tested all 3 BG's?

I tried. Doesn't work.
If you are in a BG the Server denies any /who.

There are times when I was able to /who people and get results outside of the BG. It was prob a bug of some kind, or something happened and I was able to. But generally all the other times I have tried it doesn't give results outside the bg you are in.

But like it has been, if you are in Warsong Gulch and you do a /who you will get results from other Warsong Gulch battles taking place, same goes for Arathi Basin and Alterac Valley. The results shown is that from the other battles taking place.

You know... it just now occurred to me...

I am going to have to do some further checking as the cross server BG's come alive. I don't know if it's going to be something like 'this server group vs that server group' but if groups can be intermixed, that will make for some interesting problems.

Does anyone have any insight to how they are going to do this?

Yeah, I was thinking that too. If they restrict it to server groups vs other server groups, then you still might have name clashes, but it would be one faction vs the other.

I'm not sure how they are going to address this, I guess we'll see.

A blue posted about name conflicts. I believe you will show up as Character-Server, like Ceto-Uther. So, no "conflicts" are possible, you will see which server people are part of in their names.

Ok, i've tested in AB and WSG, and i do NOT get just people in other instances of the BG.. i'm getting people from all over the world. Just now I tried a /who priest 60-60 and got 50 results, including people in AQ, BWL, and everywhere else.

So far, I've not been denied a /who inside bg's since I posted this (and a little before). Maybe it only works on certain servers? I'm on bloodscalp.

As for cross server BGs, blizz has confirmed that
a) it's not just realm vs realm, it's intermixed on both sides
b) the naming convention will be name-server

I don't know how they will work out the /who results though.

Hrm... that is strange that it is working in some places but not others. Further testing will be needed to make sure this is available to everyone...

Just tried it in AV and indeed it did not work. Very strange.. I still get consistent results with AB/WSG.

AV returned only people within the battleground.
