Ive been trying to upload my data since i picked up the mod. When i get to the upload screen, it says "File appears to be valid, checking your version number." It never changes from this. I know that i have the latest version. Is there a confirmation when the data is sent, or is this the final screen? If not, any ideas as to my not completing?

I'm not sure if my data uploaded, I get the same message as Nariana, although it also says more stuff in smaller letters like "Found CensusPlus database". I've probably uploaded 20 times since I started 5 or 6 days ago, but on my profile it says I haven't uploaded anything.
Can anyone else see my WR updates?
I have Mozilla Firefox, could the file have been put somewhere else by default?
Also, originally I had a different problem uploading which I'm sure the data didn't get through then, so to "fix" this problem I copied the CensusPlus.lua from the Interface folder to the WTF folder, since the CensusPlus.lua wasn't by default where it was supposed to be. Was i wrong in doing this, if so what should I do, to fix this?
P.S I'm not very good with computers, yet I tried to figure it out on my own like a nub.
/Epic fail

Er.. yes, you shouldn't copy your CensusPlus.lua file from your Addons folder to the WTF folder. That one gets created automatically.
You need to delete the one in your SavedVariables folder and run CensusPlus. It should create the file automatically and that is the one you need to upload.

I copied the CensusPlus.lua from the interface folder to the WTF folder after many failed attempts uploading the data. I did this because when I clicked on the savedvariables folder after having run the census many times, the CensusPlus.lua wasn't there.
Is it possible the file was put somewhere else by default?
If I delete the CensusPlus.lua file that I copied and try again to see if the same problem doesn't happen again, would all the characters go to waste that the census found thus far?

CensusPlus
File appears to be valid, checking your version number.
Checking your file
Found CensusPlus Database
Found CensusPlus Info Data
Found Version Number => Version: <Found> Locale: <Found> Locale: US\"; <Found> Locale: EU\"; <Found> Locale: ??\"; <Found> Locale: <Found> Locale: <Found> Locale: <Found> Locale: <Found> Locale: <Found> Locale: <Found> Locale: <Found> Locale: US\" ) ) then <Found> Locale: <Found> Locale: <Found> Locale: US\" ) then <=
^This is the exact message that appears after uploading (minus IP adress). lol
Which led me to believe that the upload was successful, yet it shows I have 0 WR updates right?

I deleted the file, then ran the census in 3 realms, surprisingly the data from before was saved. Unfortunately there is no SavedVariables/CensusPlus.lua file, after exiting the game. I don't know where the file could be, besides where I found a file with the same name in the C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\CensusPlus. Apparently this data is saving somwhere, but where that is I have no idea. /sigh
Has this happened to anyone else before?

WOOT! The CensusPlus.lua and CensusPlus.lua.bak just appeared, I don't how, had stoped trying to find it but just now I checked and the file was there lol. I guess the best way to fix things is to let them fix themselves rofl
I just uploaded the data, hopefully everything I downloaded till this point is counted.
*fingers crossed*

I set the census to run automatically (or maybe it was set to run automatically on its own I don't remember lol) and get a confirmation of a successful scan after it's complete. I just click on the little icon by the minimap to look at the census data and it shows what all my scans found thus far (although some data was lost after being purged). Most of my scans were run before CensusPlus.lua appeared in my Saved Variables folder for about a week or so, the data from before CensusPlus.lua appeared was still viewable to me after this. Which leads me to believe the census data is saving somewhere else than its supposed to, just as it was before I was able to upload.
I have no idea how fix this, but I get a feeling that the solution to this problem will cause me to lose the data I found thus far, so I will hold off on scanning the servers that data is most needed and just play on the servers I like, until a solution is found. Thank you in advance for your help, I hope to hear from you soon Mr. Rollie

Gotta be the permissions thing then
Make sure that you have full permissions in the WoW directory and not just Read-only. Also I think if you right click the WoW icon and choose the Run as Administrator option it also grants you full permissions to save.
However this problem should effect more than just CensusPlus, nearly all your mods should have issues saving its settings. Because if your only granted Read-only permissions and not full permissions that an Administrator has then the game won't be able to save anything.
If the file located in:
World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<account>\SavedVariables\CensusPlus.lua is 0kb in size then nothing is getting saved. If the file is much larger like 100kb or more then something is getting saved.

C+ is my only mod and World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<account>\SavedVariables\CensusPlus.lua is 1kb in size.
How come I can see previous census data that I scanned then, does that mean it's saved somewhere else?
In any case thanks for the help. I'll make sure to run as administrator from now on, although it would be nice if I can skip that step. How do I give WoW directory full permission?
