Change password on site

I just attempted to update my password on here. I first went to the mail page (not the forums) and logged in fine with my old information. After much searching around I was unable to locate any way to change my account password. I decided to try the forums instead.
Going to the forums, I noticed I was not signed in, even though I had just logged into the main page (might not be a problem, not sure). Regardless, I logged in on the forums as well, and then was able to update my password.
I then decided to try to test my new password. Logging in and out of the forums appears to work fine. However when I went to the main page, and tried to log off, I received errors that a page could not be located (specifically the logoff page). Please note that I was still on the actual main site, and not a blank page or anything as such. The menus at this point would still show I was logged in, and choosing to log off would only give the same page error.
After several attempts, I was able some how to get logged off. However now when I try to log back onto the main page, it states the password is not valid. I have tried both the new and old password but it still does not let me in. Again, the forums as you can see allows me to log on.
Is there a proper location somewhere on the main page for changing the account password or is this only done from the forums? And when someone is able, please look into why I am no longer able to log onto the main page with my account, yet able to on the forums.
