Child's Play Charity

Post by Rollie »

For the past 2 years Penny-Arcade has set up a charity designed to buy games and toys to donate to children's hospitals around the globe. This year, we would like for WarcraftRealms.com to take part in this fundraising drive.

In doing so, we are seeking donations. We have set a conservative goal of $1,000. This money has to be raised by December 20 in order for the money to be transferred and toys bought and shipped by Christmas.

As part of this, I will be collecting donations to give to the charity. You are welcome to donate directly, but if you donate through WR, I'll match the first $250 that is donated. Not only that, but I will give a few other perks too. You can see all the details here. All donations will go directly to the Child's Play charity.

Every little bit helps so anything you can give will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for sharing this Rollie.

I'm glad I was able to help out, and I may be able to help a bit more before December 20 depending on how things go for me.

I'm beginning to think I set my sights too low! We're already over 20% of the way there and the donation section hasn't even been online a full day yet!

Better to set them too low and be pleasantly surprised, than to set them too high and be disappointed.

You said yourself, that you made a conservative goal.

I plan on helping out some more too.

Yes, both of them are done via Paypal, one just accepts credit cards, the other does not. I don't really have anything set up to allow for donations outside of Paypal. I would encourage you to visit the Child's Play website and see how you can go about donating directly!
