anyway so i clicked the take census button then logged out after it was done and uploaded it.. is that it? how often should i take the census? does taking it multiple times durring the day do anything? does it matter where i am when i hit the button? just looking for more clarification on how i can help

It's good if you take census at varying times during the day, since people play at different times you get the best coverage that way. For the same reason taking census several times a day, different days, weekends or weekdays etc. is all good but the most important thing is simply to get in a census now and then and uploading it without letting it mess with you enjoying the game

The first question is no, and the second question is that censusing multiple days is essentially required to build a good database for upload.

tnx one more question, does taking multiple ones in a day give you cumulative data, or does it overwright itself? i.e. if i cencused with a gnome, then later with an orc then uploaded would i have data from both those or just the orc?

You'd get data from both
