Difference between in-game and upload data...

Post by Luckyjack »

A question regarding the in-game data and the actual data uploaded here, or better said the difference in data.

In the game when I open the CensusUI, it shows me the following number (snapshot ofc, it has changed already).

Total Characters: 1541 (so I assume I've gathered these with the scans).

Now when I look at the datapage here with the amount I've uploaded it tells me the following numbers (same snapshot).

Total New Entries 264
Total Updated Entries 854
They add up to 1118 Characters.

That would mean 423 characters went missing somewhere...
Is this normal behaviour for the client?
Or is there a reason for these missing character data's I don't know about?

Thanks, Luckyjack.

Welcome aboard :)

The database numbers are indicating characters new/updated since anyone last uploaded data. Meaning those 423 "missing" characters are actually characters who have been gathered and uploaded by someone else already, and which haven't changed since then (haven't levelled up, changed guild etc). The "updated" entries are characters who someone else had seen before, but have changed since then, and "new" entries are characters never seen on that server before.

Hope this makes sense!

More than enough sense.
I understood the general categories.
Just the missing chars I was wondering about (which have now been found ;))

Thanks.
