As a temp workaround, can you copy the CensusPlus lua file after a capture to another location then change the ["Version"] = from "6.0.0" to "5.0.2" in the saved file, then upload it? Or would this also exclude the Monk and greater than level 85 data upon processing at the websitese.
Just curious since I am capturing data using 6.0 but uploaded by changing the version on the file.
Thanks
Can this be done as a temp woraround?
As discussed in other thread(s) here, please STOP editing the version number! While the edit does allow upload, it also means all data on monks, pandaren and anyone at 86 or higher is destroyed. It also creates unnecessary backlog in the processing queue. For now, DON'T upload and keep an eye on the front page and the fora here.
Those of us who want to, are "stockpiling", in other words, using renamed or moved to another folder .lua files to store data until the site has been updated. This method allows one to retain even multiple versions of rapidly changing characters.
If you find that method too cumbersome, you can also elect to just keep adding data to your .lua, which has a maximum size of 10 MB when using the manual upload method, until Rollie finishes the site update and normal functions can resume. Most people never reach that 10 MB limit. That method, however, will only remember the latest version of any specific character seen.
Whatever you choose, happy censusing and have a nice day!
