Export question

Could someone please explain is there a way to export data from lua file and what software is needed.
When I open CensusPlus.lua file in Word or Excell I see all data, and I can tell that it has been placed in certain way, but is there a way to export just the stuff I need from this file, by certain criteria, like class, race, level, guild etc.
I apologize if my question is to noobish, or if it has been answered, but I did several searches here and could not find any answer that would expalin how this could be done.
