Well, hopefully they will go open beta at some point so I can do some testing =)

Based on this mod you could see if changing the TOC line might help. But then again it could also be the way the code is to run.

# Interface: 20000
## Title: ItemRack
## Notes: Context menus for inventory items
## SavedVariables: ItemRack_Users, ItemRack_Settings, ItemRack_Events, Rack_User
## OptionalDeps: IsMounted, ButtonHole
localization.lua
ItemRack.lua
ItemRack.xml
ItemRackSets.xml

Aha, thanks for that, I know nothing about TOC files and stuff but changing the first line to 20000 in Notepad seems to have sorted it :)

So far it runs absolutely fine, no errors or anything - you may well only need to change that one line as far as compatibility goes. Only possible hiccup is it's identified the locale as US when I'm on an EU realm... but chances are the server itself is in the US, and our accounts have been moved across - that'd explain the appalling latency issues I've got half the time, anyway!

Going to keep on running it like I normally do while playing my regular characters, I'll let you know if I come across any issues :)

Btw it's very amusing looking at the main window's barchart and seeing a few lowbie characters up to about 16 then a massive gap of nothing, right up to a big spike of 60s - you'll need to add the new levels and races (and make shamans/paladins both sides), but it's not throwing up any errors regarding them, anyway, just not showing them in the bar chart. My Draenei priest does show when I do "show characters" under priests, so it accepts the info alright :)

If you want any new versions tested, just give me a shout :)

I may throw something together that will include the new races and both classes, as well as the additional levels. If/when I do, I'll be sure to post it up for folks who want to test it out.

If you don't mind, would you email me your data file with the new stuff in it so I can have a peek?

Balgair, just so you know that first line in the TOC has to be updated with each patch. It's the version number that will allow it to run, unless you click the Run out-dated Mods in teh Add-Ons window. So we just get to know the the TOC/version number of the game is increasing to that number.

Biut good to know that it seems to be working so far.

Makes sense, I knew about the number needing to be updated but hadn't realised it'd cause the "Incompatible" messages as normally telling it to load out of date addons is enough :)

Btw, not 100% error-free after all, when I opened my mining tab I got an error: "Interface\Addons\CensusPlus\CensusPlusProfiler.lua:278: attempt to index global 'CharacterDamageFrame' (a nil value)" I don't actually have the profiles option turned on, but I imagine if that's on about profiles and character damage, it'll be due to the fact that they've revamped the character stats pane and added a lot more info... and presumably changed half the background stuff that made it work ;)

Edit: and at the same time that happened I got a tooltip saying "Main Hand" stuck to my pointer... had to relog to lose it lol.

Well, I'm back, and I'm disappointed in you lot :P I haven't censused for two weeks - I should be down in 4th on the updates and needing to census like mad for another couple of weeks to get back towards the top, but unless Sianni submits some very big updates very soon I think I'll hit the top within a week. Bah, no challenge in that ;)

Anyone else have the same level of imagination for naming their census characters as me? I know I'm not responsible for all of the 266 characters named "Census" that I found when I searched, anyway :P
Yup - Mine are all named censusman, except on the one realm where that name was taken - I am known there as censusgirl...:)

Alanthus wrote:Well Balgair, that's similar to my reason for getting quite a few submissions before, taking care of baby meant little active playing so I just logged on running census all over the place. These days I manage to sneak in a li'l more play time but not contigous enough to do instances or raiding so I end up with these instead:

Impressive, most impressive.

I thought I had lots of toons. These are my main characters , but I have a couple horde and a few others spread on different realms that I don't play as much...

You've got a pretty good group of characters yourself :) I think I finally made sigs for all my active ones:

Nice!

Are you using backgrounds available from this site or somewhere else? I don't recognize a few of them, but I haven't gone through the whole list yet.

All from this site except the Draenei which was from my own screenshot (as is the one in my normal sig) :)

I'm meaning to make sigs for them all using my own shots but these ones aren't bad for now - if I can work out how to use my pics and chosen fonts with this site's info for dynamic ones that'll be ideal, given that even my lvl 60s will be gaining new levels again once TBC comes out, and I hate having to edit sigs every time I level up ;)

Bal - you can definitely use your own shots ( just have to email me for a premium account to get upload access), and then just set up your text as you like using the proper variables. If you have a font you'd like to use that isn't on the site, send it to me and I'll add it in =)

Yeah, I spun that one off when the sigs here were such a big hit. MSS allows you to do a lot of the things people requested of the sigs here.

Sure enough, under a week :P Makes me feel slightly better; my flatmate very kindly brought me back an American cold to which I have no immunity whatsoever, so I'm feeling rather ill today, nice to have something to cheer me up a little ;)
