Europeans... They were the first to complete AQ40 and Naxx in a matter of weeks after the instance was released.

It is pretty close, but I'd give it to Nihilum atm, due to their world first kill of Vashj.

Hmmm, anyone happen to know if that Nihilum was originally an Everquest guild? Just curious to know if a few of those guys are old guildies from before I got a life and family ;)

according to the page on wowwiki about them:
Nihilum is mostly made up of British, Swedish and Danish members. A large proportion of the members are playing WoW as their first MMORPG. Others are EQ2 veterans, and a few are ex-CounterStrike players.
I would agree that European guilds are leading US guilds, and that Nihilium is leading the charge. Even without Nihilium, I think Europe is still ahead of the US.

I imagine a lot of things will change with the 2.1 elixir changes. I think there are a lot of end-game raiding guilds that are held back by the current cost of raiding. Buffing everyone completely is just too expensive right now.

My server seems to be low in terms of ability. We have one alliance guild that is ahead of all others, but I don't think they're making much progress in the BC raids. It's amazing to realize that all of that content is there in the game, but not a single person on my server will see it.

mmmm, found out that some of the core members of Nihilum are the same people I played with when I was a member. Can't say I'm surprised at their progress, at the time I easily topped 100+ hours a week playing and I was basically considered a "weekend warrior" of sorts, good enough to play with when there weren't enough of the a-team around ;)

wow, 100+ hours a week. im amazed that someone could look at a computer screen that long lol. i'm not trying to be offensive or anything, there are a great many things that people put 100+ hours into in a weeks time. im almost sort of jealous. i would definately play more if i didnt have a wife and a son.

100 hours a week!
uhh wait...
Normal ppl work about 30-40 hours a week. Then you play 100 hours a week. Then you have 38 hours a week left of eating/drinking/sleeping/having fun!
That is about 5 hours a day 0.o

Hehe, well, these days I have a wife and two daughters but back when I had no life it wasn't hard at all to rack up 100+ hours... funny thing is I made twice as much money as I'm making now too ;)

What made me a weekend warrior was basically that I did have a job and couldn't necessarily attend raids scheduled when I had to work...

100 hours definitely isn't hard if you don't have a job, if you use XFire it tracks how much you play games per week, and I've seen a friend on it on over 100 hours a few times.

I only recently started using it myself, but I'm currently showing as 64 hours... and I've not been playing as much as usual this last week or so; I'm probably 70-80 hours a week on average, and would've been well over 100 hours when TBC first came out. Put it this way, I only stopped playing to sleep for the first week, and I only slept 7-8 hours maximum... ;)

I play less than 10% of that time...probably due to having a full time job...full time school...have a mortgage and a yard to take care of as well as a family....I wonder if these people understand the meaning of moderation in all things comes from...

I don't even have a yard, but that's what happens when you're newly married and live in an apartment... haha

.... and he's not playing 100h+ ;)

some say Rollie has a secret work that he's investing time in ...

100hs...what do you do in that time...lving 10 chars to 70 ??? 100hrs is about..exactly (ok not so exactly) 4 Playdays a week...so you need 2 Weeks to get a char to 60 or 3 weeks to get a char to 70....do this 5 times ans you got 5 Chars to 70 in less then 4 months...outch.

But hey you got a wife now and so ;)
