World of Warcraft Armory Additions

Post by Rollie »

If you haven't been to the Armory today, Blizzard has added some interesting new features.

They have now added items to their database of searchable and viewable information. Not only that, but they have a nifty new way to view upgrades for your character! When viewing your armory page, and you hover over an item, a little arrow will appear, hover over the arrow and click the Check for Upgrades to see a list of suggested items for that slot.

Some interesting new stuff here for sure!

Sounds good, not seeing it on the European one though, guess we're behind as usual ;)

suggested upgrades? haha... isn't it just like Blizz to show you that you could do better?

Hmm, wonder if they've fixed it so the talent trees are actually viewable... they've never ever loaded for me so far ;) I'll have to poke around the US one and see :)

Omg... I can see talents  Nice additions too, although it's very very slow to load, might be heavy load on it currently though. Ok, now I'm hoping Blizz update the European one fast, finally I'll be able to see what talents my guildmates have ;)

Btw I just looked at Rollie's profile for testing, interesting seeing the difference in stats between pvp and pve players; my rogue has about 450 more attack power, but 3k less health, totally different priorities, even though we're both combat rogues :)

I actually just spec'd combat last night to give it a whirl while running Kara. Upped my overall DPS by about 5 - 7%. I don't think I'll like it when it comes to PVP though, I'll be missing lots of sub talents.

I'm usually a sub/hemo build

You have to hover over the item, and a little arrow will appear on the right side. THen you have to hover over that arrow and you'll get the View Upgrades thing.

Yeah... we noticed it on the wowwiki irc last night. Some nifty stuff, but Skosiris has a bunch of what Blizzard has planned for wowhead. He might steal some of the xml, but I think I'll prefer wowhead to that slow, lumbering thing that was the armory.

I've never really liked the armory anyway. The profile was too slow to load, and as it is currently, the entire thing is too slow. Oh well.

I haven't checked it out yet, but I'll definitely have to give it a whirl. The speed (or lack thereof) was always the annoying factor when using the armory, that's for sure ;)
