Nice list, I may have a look at the EU realms and do a similar one, though tbh it'll depress me - no matter how much I do I can't get on top of all the really really low submissions, so I end up losing motivation every now and then

Yeah, I only play 3 days a week these days so I'm stuck with Mal'Ganis around 350ish... I'm not the only one submitting for the realm though. I wasn't sure, until I stopped playing for a couple months and Mal'Ganis still stayed around 150.

Yeah I love the idea, makes it nice and easy to see what's needed I tend to look at the red submissions servers, but then in europe there's soooo many of those it's most of the server list anyway That Earthen ring one is crazy, but nice to know there's one server that isn't gonna need help anytime soon lol.

Yay I like them enough that I've made a spreadsheet with them on, nice way to keep track of what servers need attention, especially since I colour-coded it, only trouble is updating it takes a while! Will be great to have it in the site

I was thinking of color coding it but then to find the threshholds was tricky. I just went with top, over 1k, mid-range, singles :-/

The colours I used are:

Over 1k - purple (epic!)
Over 500 - blue (rare)
Over 100 - green
50-100 - (left black given that it's on a white background, but yellow would also be good)
Under 50 - red
Under 10 - red and bold

That's on the per-faction numbers, didn't bother colouring the totals, though those could be coloured too

Was kinda depressing doing this, as while some servers have improved, many more have gone downhill, some by a lot. After 30-odd servers I added a code to add up the totals; at that point it was at 39.2k... by the time I finished it was 28.2k, and that's even with having added a new server that hadn't existed last time I updated (December) Ok, some of that's down to servers that had a huge amount having dropped to still being fine, but there's a lot more that have gone from "fine" to "not fine" or even zero. Of the 236 servers in Europe, only 120 have over 50 submission across both factions...

Is this drop reflected in the US submissions too, or is it just Europe? It always was worse over here submissionswise, but I didn't realise it'd been that big a drop! One suggestion I have for a boost; get the site a plug on Wowinsider - it seems pretty popular and usually has the effect of generating too much traffic to plugged sites (they tend to crash within about 12 hours of a post on there ), so getting some note on there that we're looking for help with covering servers might be a help?

Oh yeah, among the doom and gloom, big well done to Dun Morogh - they were top 6 months ago with about 1.9k alliance and 100ish horde entries, now they've got 1.1k alliance and 900 Horde, some serious powercensusers on that server!

WoWInsider actually drives a bit of traffic here on a regular basis as they often cite information from here.

Submissions are down across the board tbh, while the playerbase has remained fairly stable. The only thing I can come up with is that people just aren't as concerned with the population/demographics anymore. People have come to accept that PVE servers will be slightly skewed towards alliance and PVP servers are for the most part fairly even.

With the introduction of Blood Elves, horde really got the boost it needed to be on more even footing.

I'm not really sure what to do to try to reinvigor(sp?) interest in submitting data. On the flip side, fewer submissions means that those who do submit more regularly have a better shot at the drawings!
