Inaccurate Census Data

Post by Guest »

If you look at the census date for a server, in this case Bleeding Hollow -

http://www.warcraftrealms.com/census.ph ... rtypeid=-1

You will see the top 50 guilds by level value, however the data determining this is inaccurate as it is including people that haven't been seen for over 30 days. In some cases people who haven't been seen since March.

Some of these people and guilds don't even play on these servers anymore and moved to other servers or in alot of cases have quit playing.

Example of this problem would be this guild -

http://www.warcraftrealms.com/guilds/65154

Where over 70 out of the 232 members haven't been seen in over 30 days.

Census isn't meant to be 100% accurate. That is why on the WoW message boards people that refer to Census information are consistently told that the information contained here is not accurate.

However, I love some of the features like Character History and Guild Roster. It's also nice to see what the approximate population of my server(s) are like. Unfortunately without direct access to Blizzard's own server data I don't think it will ever be possible to be 100% accurate.

With the system that is now in place by Blizzard I think the CensusPlus system is fabulous. And I like what I see on the horizon for it as well!
