Reminder for BOYD
Reminder for BOYD
I don't know, how close you followed BlizzCon, but for those who pre-ordered Legion, Demon Hunters, will become available, one week before release..
Would it cause any problems (addon or site), if the finished version of the addon was released before (e.g. 10 days) Legion is released?
My thoughts are, that 101-110 scan would just result in 0 toons (and that can happen at any level range already), and DH scan can do the same also (which also can already happen)...

Doing census mainly on Draenor; Raluf - Nimsay - Lusmo - Quixx - Sosyan - Garthog - Trubin - Zalistra - Zesmi and Djaang

Not a problem... remember this
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/forum/vie ... php?t=6156
As noted, until the WoW client knows the new class any addon trying to track the non-existent data will just break and return error codes.
At this time I am still waiting for the Beta to open up so we can get the Icons for Demon Hunter class.
I will be surprised if Beta starts by March 2016. I expect it to actually open sometime in April.
My reasoning is that Blizzard will want to get Legion live as soon after the Movie has finished its peak run which normally would be two to three weeks after the 10 June 2016 premiere.
So the first week in July is probably their internal target date.. but they have given themselves the buffer to say it will be released no later then 22 September 2016.
My expectation is that I will release my Legion code the evening before Blizzard closes US(/Oceanic realms?) to load the servers with the Version 7.0.0 code.
As normal EU players will need to exercise patience and not update CensusPlus until 7.0.0 goes live in the EU region a day later.
As normal the expansion will happen as you noted a week later.

At Blizzcon they were talking as though beta would come quite soon, I think the quote was "within weeks", at least that's how it's been reported here, so you'll likely be able to get DH icons a lot sooner than March or April

Looks like you also have to code for the addition of Gnome Hunters - I'll be rolling one for sure; now what's the biggest pet I can possibly find...

Hunter class was the third character I played.
I had worked my Pally and Druid into and out of Un'Goro Crater and had both of them stomped and eaten by roaming Elite Devilsaurs.
So I made up my mind that I would take my Dwarf Hunter and his bear and level up to Un'Goro to tame me a Devilsaur.
That poor Hunter died a number of times in the Crater. The first death was as usual, where the Devilsaur came out of nowhere.
Then came the number of deaths where I was eaten before the taming had finished.
But finally I survived long enough to tame me a Devilsaur!
Only to watch it shrink down to my size.
Talk about being disappointed.

Confirmed.. I did not break anything +500 EU characters processed.. and many more on my next upload.
Speaking of Gnome-Hunter... the Blizzard included image showing the Gnome selection screen almost showed the Demon Hunter class icon.. very tiny and greyed out since Gnomes can't be Demon Hunters.
At this time it looks like they are showing the tip of a WarGlaive as the class symbol.
In fact I think, unless they change their minds, the icon will be the one associated with http://www.wowhead.com/item=32838/warglaive-of-azzinoth

Dinos in Un'goro, most likely.. But they scale in size when tamed..Balgair wrote:Looks like you also have to code for the addition of Gnome Hunters - I'll be rolling one for sure; now what's the biggest pet I can possibly find...

They do indeed scale down, but still work well... however it seems a bit of a dangerous choice, when the pet realises the hunter looks like a bitesized snack...FuxieDK wrote:Dinos in Un'goro, most likely..
