Choosing a New Server
Hey im from Arthas which shows up with 9k+ people on this website and i wanted to switch to a new server cause when i checked here i saw most servers had 15k+ and i like high pop servers (i dont mind lines) anyway i was wondering if the information is true is arthas really that low pop compaired to a server like warsong

Arthas is a poorly mapped server with too few entries to tell for sure about population. The data that is collected would suggest that it's a fairly high population server with a lot more alliance than horde but there is no way to know how true this is unless someone gathers more data. It's not as highly populated as Warsong of course since that's the highest population server overall but it's definately a high population server.
Unfortunately cross teaming is a common practice in WoW, I've seen it in other games too but I think the reason it's so bad in WoW is because if you compete for WoW ranks you actually compete only against your own faction, the best allies to have as an alliance member is of course horde since they are not in direct competition with you. Lets face it, PvP in WoW is a poorly designed afterthought.

Arthas used to be one of the top population servers, but with the server transfers 3 times it has dwindled. Also most Closed beta players were on Arthas (one of the first servers initially) , and almost all my closed beta friends have quit. You factor all that in, and its not what it used to be.
I personally moved to Dragonmaw after being bored a week after my Pally reached 60 on Arthas. Lots of PvP action. Most top ranking PvPers on each faction like each other, and love fighting against each other. The horde have a pretty good PvP A-Team that beats most organized, voice, alliance guild teams (who beat up most horde PUG's). So its lots of fun, and a pretty balanced server with about 8-10k on each faction.
I gave up pvp with my priest after reaching General cause Warlord was going to be to hard to achieve, but now with the patch they are making it easier, but its too late...after today I will prolly drop down to centurion from lack of pvping.
