Hiyas everyone.
In the past, I've always gathered census figures for WoW-Census, and I've gathered a pretty large data base of characters through WoW-Census. I know that WoW-Census and Census Plus cannot read off of each other's figures, and that while they both write to the same file, they don't overwrite each other's information.
What I want to do is be able to have WoW-Census and Census Plus both running at the same time. I was wondering if this is possible, since Census Plus and WoW-Census seem to take up the same spots in the UI and use similar /census commands.
Is it possible to have both the WoW-Census and Census Plus plugins together?

WoW-Census and Census Plus Concurrently?
Yes it is possible, but doesn't give you any additional functionality. If you are concerned about losing your old original Census information, you can use the /censusimport command to import your original census data into the CensusPlus data.
The 2 AddOns can run side by side. I believe Evic is planning to support Census+ fully and in that case, we'll probably phase out the original Census entirely. This has already happend for Cosmos users and will probably end up happening eventually for stand alone users as well.

I had actually planned to run both but it's so much easier to run censusplus with the ability to minimize and autoclose of the who window that I just ditched census after starting to use censusplus. I hope Evic does get some time to fix censusplus imports and some other things on the wowcensus.com site, it's always good to have two sites with a slightly different approach to things

Thank you for the quick response. I tried running the /censusimport command but unfortunately it gives me the ol' error window, saying:Rollie wrote:Yes it is possible, but doesn't give you any additional functionality. Error: bad argument #1 to `pairs' (table expected, got nil)
I tried running through the release version and the Alpha SVN of Cosmos and the error cropped up on both occasions. Is there something wrong with my variables file or did I spork something?

Hrmmm.... I'm not sure to be honest. I didn't do any hard core testing of the import as it was kind of something I just threw together at the last minute. If you want to send me your SavedVariables.lua file, I can take a look and figure out why it's not working properly.

Assuming I didn't miss anything up, the e-mail should be on its way.Rollie wrote:Hrmmm.... I'm not sure to be honest.
