Why do character's histories/information still exist even after the character is deleted?

Well, there is really no reason to delete it, not to mention I have no way of knowing if a character has been deleted or not anyway.

Well, the reason I bring it up is that it screws up other data such as Alliance : Horde ratio, the actual population on each server, etc. Anyways, I used to have a bunch of characters named Dmfster on many servers.

1) Dmfster Burning Blade 5 Human Paladin
2) Dmfster Cho'gall 25 Orc Hunter
3) Dmfster Deathwing 9 Human Rogue
4) Dmfster Firetree 4 Undead Warrior
5) Dmfster Magtheridon 60 Night Elf Hunter

I have deleted these characters LONG time ago, and yet they are still around. Feel free to get rid of them from the data. Thx.

They do not screw up the ratios or the server populations. Once a character has not been seen for more than 30 days, they are no longer counted in those statistics.

At that point, the character data is only around for historical purposes.
