killing fields upload is disabled

Post by uigrad »

Rollie, I see that you have disabled uploads from killing fields. I have a lot of AV data from tonight I wanted to upload.

Will you reenable it before moving up to version 0.5?

Prob just needs some time to work out the bug with the latest patch and how data is stored in the .lua files. The database just needs some adjusting to accommodate the new changes. Rollie got the CensusPlus submissions working so hopefully Killing Fields database will be updated tomorrow

It has been reenabled, unfortunately, due to an unforseen bug, all 0.4 data will have to be purged =(

Sorry =/

But hopefully 0.5 is good to go!

aww, ok. Unfortunately, I don think I'll be doing BG for a while now. I just reached goals (for honor and marks) last night, so now I'm just waiting to go to Outland.

When I saw that uploading was disabled, I assumed that it was because of a problem with 0.4, so at least I'm not surprised.

By the way, I went to the actual killing fields this last summer (in Cambodia), and it is a very sobering experience. I can really see how some people might be offended that you are using this same term now for an addon to a game. I'm not sure if it's enough of a concern for you to change it or not, I just wanted to throw it out there.

Eh, I didn't name it after that, although now that you mention it, it could be considered a bit insensitive...

Okay, truth be told, I wasn't very aware of what the term referred to originally (the Cambodia deal).

I really wish I had researched this a little bit because now I feel a bit bad about naming the mod that. I never intended to downplay or make light of what happened.

Do you think it would be a good idea to change the name? I could always call it Pwned ;p

I find it offensive. As a priest I always get pwned. Causes emotional distress.

Actually, if I do decide to rename it, I'm thinking I'll call it BattleScribe

Better sooner than later... I'm sure there will be others who will bring up the topic of the relation between the mod and the actual place
