PvP vs Normal vs RP

Post by Guest »

Verys interesting statistics, if this holds true as more data is added it would seem PvP server are fairly balanced (more so the higher levels look at), Normal are in trouble and rp servers are 4 - 1 which will effectively destroy pvp there.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised that the numbers are so different between the various server types. I was further surprised at how popular rogues are on the PVP servers.

*sigh* have to remember to sign my posts ;)

I wasn't the least bit surprised by these numbers, they were pretty much exactly in line with what I expected. Rogue's are very popular in other pvp environment and also got the reputation during beta for doing major dps, looking at games like daoc stealth classes have a very high popularity.

I just hope the numbers for the pvp servers hold true so we might have some nice pvp once Blizzard releases their first pvp ruleset... um, when we don't lag to death of course...

Also servers name appears to have some influence.

Also servers name appears to have some influence in some distribution-

Evil sounding name servers are more evenly matched:
Ner'zhul
Bonechewer
Bloodscalp
Skullcrusher
Burning Blade
Gorefiend
Laughing Skull

While shiny sounding names = heavily alliance favored:
Frostwolf
Silver Hand
Windrunner
Whisperwind
Lightbringer
Shadowsong
Silvermoon
Alleria
Malygos
Aggramar

sorry formatting, you get the point :)

Rogues

I think most L50+ players on PvP servers play either a rogue as their main character or have a L20+ rogue with engineering as an alt :)

IIRC those "bad" realms you mentioned are PvP servers, which have high horde numbers because they are ... PvP servers.. ;)
